MICHAEL SELDITCH

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Selditch has tackled the roles of producer, writer, director, creator and/or show-runner on numerous documentary, talk, and reality television shows since 1999. As executive producer and director, Selditch has recently completed a documentary series called, Architecture School that he created for the Sundance Channel premiering on August 20th. He directed Queer Eye for the Straight Guy on a reoccurring basis during its impressive 100-episode run. Also for Bravo, he directed and co-executive produced the one-hour special, Project Jay (2005) on Jay McCarroll. Selditch was the show-runner and one of the creators of PBS’s award-winning magazine series, Gourmet’s Diary of a Foodie (2006). He was also a producer on 30 Days, Morgan Spurlock’s highly acclaimed series on FX. Selditch is a two-time Emmy Award nominated producer (2001/2008).
Selditch’s feature film directorial debut, Fixing Frank, a Maximum Vacuum production, enjoyed a successful theatrical run in selected cities (2005). It was nominated for an Independent Spirit Awards for Best First Screenplay (2006) and won Best Feature, Special Interest at the Rhode Island International Film Festival (2002).
Prior to his work in television, Selditch received a Masters of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. He practiced architecture for 14 years in addition to teaching architectural design at Pratt Institute in New York and Woodbury University in Los Angeles.
